Celebrating Diverse Communities

Values & Community are at our core

Now more than ever we see an opportunity to celebrate the diverse communities that make up Albuquerque and New Mexico. We are excited to announce a sports league like no other, using the beautiful game to champion people, and learn more about each other on and off the court.

In a world of pay to play athletics, where many communities are left out, we have developed a model that gives kids the opportunity to play competitive futsal in a positive environment that promotes giving back to the community. We have partnered with local community organizations to have our athletes provide an hour of service each week giving back to the community and learning from each other, while developing relationships that may have never been cultivated before.

We have eliminated the financial component and have developed a positive sense of community that has never been done before.

Coach

Our unique approach has put kids and the community first. We recognize that to make a positive impact we need to provide positive experiences for our youth, while giving back to the communities they are from. Our service model eliminates the financial barrier in youth sports while emphasizing the importance of developing a strong positive community for all.

"SSA is like a second family to me. It has brought me and my friends together. It really helped me find something that I love to do every day, but they brought me more than just soccer they taught me community."

Health & Well Being

Placing an Emphasis on Physical & Mental Health

Studies have shown the negative affects of kids not getting enough physical activity in their lives. The rate of childhood obesity in marginalized communities is on the rise. Our goal is to help bring those numbers down by providing healthy environments where kids can be physically active and enjoy the beautiful game.

Bridging the Gap

Reducing teen/youth violence involves fostering self-confidence, mentorship, inclusion, education, and career readiness. To achieve this, we can encourage activities that challenge young people, provide positive role models and mentors, create inclusive environments, offer access and resources to support quality education, and build career readiness skills. By combining these elements, we can help young people build a positive sense of self and a brighter future.
